We recently remodeled our original 1980s-style basement with Basement Masters, and we are extremely happy with the end results. Our remodel was extensive; we added a full bathroom, converted a hallway and closet into a larger guest room, consolidated our laundry room, and added a wet bar and entertainment area with soundproofing.

When we were looking for the best contractor for this project, we spent a lot of time researching, and we had three different contractors provide estimates. Needless to say, we didn’t need another estimate after talking with Basement Masters. Their pricing was easy to understand and very competitive. 

Before the work began, the owner, Pavel, gave us checklists so we knew what items to pick out (and how much to spend to stay within our budget), which made the planning stage so much easier. The dimensions of our basement (bulkheads, ductwork, etc.), and the changes we wanted to make, required some creative thinking. Pavel really helped us think through the planning before starting. He had great ideas for ways we could use the different spaces, and his advice was very helpful towards finalizing our plans.

Pavel was always easy to reach by phone, text or email, and he was very patient with our questions and ideas - and we had many throughout the remodel. We had a few specific custom requests that Basement Masters had not dealt with before; instead of telling us "no," they figured out how to get it done. During the remodel process, Pavel and his team were consistently on time, respectful and clean. They were willing to work around our schedule, and even worked on weekends (as long as it didn’t interfere with our plans) so they could expedite the project. Once the project was complete, Pavel came back and inspected everything with us.

In the end, our basement went from being an outdated, unattractive and rarely used space to a modern, comfortable and inviting entertainment area where we spend most of our time happily hosting our visiting friends and family. I would definitely recommend Basement Masters to anyone interested in finishing or remodeling their basement.
